Is Google Earth Really A True GIS?

Google Earth is not a true GIS

GIS stands for Geographic Information System that helps Data scientists to make custom maps and doing analysis

Google Earth can be used to learn about GIS to some extent

It cannot be called a true GIS

Google Earth shows us the imagery of the world whereas GIS shows what is above and underneath the Earth surface

GIS covers more technical aspects and Google Earth is more of an interactive software
